Hakone Fura

Hakone Fura is limited to six rooms, creating a calm alternative to the area’s large resort hotels. The interiors are contemporary and restrained, with the surrounding Sengokuhara landscape and views toward Owakudani providing the sense of place.

Dinner is the centre of the stay. A full kaiseki moves from aperitif through seasonal dishes to dessert, using colour and careful pacing to make a small-inn evening feel considered rather than ceremonial.

Free-flowing hot-spring water fills the communal indoor bath. The circuit is simple, but the low room count allows bathing and dining to remain quiet. Fura works for couples who value a composed meal, privacy through scale and an understated night in Hakone.
