Nakaya Ryokan

Nakaya Ryokan is designed around families travelling with babies and very young children. Equipment, shallow bathing areas and staff routines reduce the usual friction of a first onsen trip, while the small scale keeps the atmosphere warmer than a resort hotel.

Bathing includes communal, open-air and private options, with selected rooms adding a semi-open bath supplied directly from the source. Parents can choose the degree of privacy that works for their family instead of adapting a child to an adult bath circuit.

Dinner is served in the room and combines Japanese, Western and Chinese ideas in a creative set meal.
