Atami Onsen Yamaki Ryokan is a 15-room inn surrounded by gardens in central Atami. Its two-storey, sukiya-style building has a traditional Japanese character, while all guest rooms were renovated in December 2022.
Rooms include tatami layouts, Japanese-Western combinations and a compact twin room. One Japanese-Western room has its own hot-spring bath; the other categories have a shower or no en-suite bathing facilities. Rooms do not have sea or fireworks views, making the garden setting and the inn itself the focus of a stay.
Separate men's and women's communal baths are complemented by a private bath that can be booked for paid 45-minute sessions. The sodium-calcium chloride spring water is circulated and filtered, with water added. Seasonal kaiseki meals are served in the guest rooms.
Atami Station is about five minutes away by taxi, or around 15 to 16 minutes on foot. There is no station shuttle. For bus arrivals, Shimizucho is a one-minute walk from the inn, while Ginza is about five minutes away. Standard check-in runs from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with checkout at 10:00 a.m.; individual plans may specify different times.
