Yuya Spa Sengakukan

After reopening in April 2026, Sengakukan presents a materially different stay from the property described in older reviews. The renewed inn has seven rooms, each with its own semi-open bath supplied by Yuya's rare natural carbonated spring; the former large communal bath has been removed.
That change makes the experience quieter and more private while keeping the water, rather than spectacle, at the centre of the stay. The kitchen continues the same place-specific logic through Hida ingredients and dishes that use the carbonated source in their preparation, an approach that could not simply be transferred to another address.
The seven-room scale and mountain setting support attentive service, but the post-renovation property is still too new for the guide to treat pre-2026 comments about its bath layout as current evidence. Its strongest case is therefore precise rather than inflated: unusual carbonated water, private bathing in every room, regional cooking, and a deliberately intimate new chapter in a much older onsen village.
