Ryokan Amimoto

Amimoto is a ten-room inn directly in front of Intsuji Port on Iki Island. Its name means fishing master, and the harbor setting keeps the property’s roots in the local fishing community visible throughout the stay.

Dinner centers on seafood from the Genkai Sea, served in generous island courses. The changing catch and the journey to Iki give the meal a strong sense of occasion without elaborate formalism.

A panoramic communal bath overlooks the port but uses ordinary heated water on a circulation system; there is no natural spring or private bath. Amimoto suits travelers who cross to Iki for fish, island atmosphere, and a small lodging with a direct connection to the boats outside.
