The establishment identifies as a 温泉旅館, operates on the full-board kaiseki model, and maintains all the bones of the form.

The clearest fit is specific: the traveller who has already bathed in Arima and Kinosaki and wishes to close the circle of Japan's most historically resonant hot springs in an inn small enough — and committed enough — to feel like a borrowed home.
