Kanazawa Tatsunokuchi Onsen Matsusaki

Matsusaki occupies the Tatsunokuchi Onsen district southwest of Kanazawa, drawing on a sulfur-sodium-sulfate-chloride spring delivered kakenagashi into room and communal baths alike. Meals are served entirely within the private sphere — kaiseki built on Kaga seasonal produce arrives in the guest room or a dedicated private dining room, and the okami's personal appearance at dinner is a mark of genuine inn culture rather than managed hospitality.

The building carries its age without apology: reviewers note a retro quality and historical fabric, well-maintained but not renovated into blandness.
