Harumiya Ryokan

Harumiya Ryokan is designed so that guests can spend most of the stay in their own space. Rooms have a private open-air hinoki bath and a small garden, with enough room in the tub for more than one person. In winter, snow can settle around the garden while the bath remains warm.

Dinner and breakfast are served in the room, extending that privacy beyond bathing. Seasonal Fukushima ingredients arrive without the movement and noise of a shared dining hall, making the stay particularly comfortable for couples and small families.

A larger open-air rock bath beside the Arakawa River can also be locked for private use. There is no need to reserve a fixed time, so guests can follow the weather and their own pace. Harumiya’s appeal is the rare continuity between room, meal, garden and hot spring, all without entering a large public bath.
