Yado Nakaya faces the Kinosaki coast in Kominato, with sea and sunset views extending from the rooms. Guests remove their shoes at the entrance, giving the interior an easy barefoot flow despite the scale of the property. A 2024 renewal refreshed the spaces without separating them from the shore.
The inn draws its own Amatsu-Kominato hot spring for the large indoor and open-air baths. Private baths and selected bath-equipped rooms offer more seclusion, while the communal pools keep the sea air close.
Dinner centres on seafood landed around the Boso Peninsula, prepared as a composed course that lets the catch remain recognisable. Nakaya suits travellers who want the ocean to frame the entire stay, from dawn in the room to evening bathing and a seafood dinner.
